Lupin taught his students a gret deal about DADA and also how to see past the labels of physical "problems" people have and see the real person underneath.

Lupin, because he taught the students the most about the defense against the dark arts. Espeacially Harry Potter!

Umbridge - she's so evil. Although, I am rather fond of Lupin, but everyone loves Lupin, so Umbridge.

Lupin, in my opinion. He showed them the most about Defense against the Dark Arts and even gave them hands on experience. And taught them the valuable lesson of not judging a book by its cover. Besides the fact he was a werewolf, but that played its part in not judging a book by its cover morale. Its a pity he wasn't there in book three, he could have taught them not to think Riddle's diary was innocent

Lupin because he is an interesting character and helped Harry gain the defence information he needed to start the DADA club (or Dumbledore's Army as they dubbed it) in his 5th year when Umbridge refused to teach them anything that wasnt from a book.

Mad-Eye was pretty cool... despite the fact that he was a Death Eater in disguise.

Lupin was my favorite teacher because he was the only one commited to the job and who actually did the job well. Also he was the only one who could have stayed for another year

I'd say Lupin because he is so cool, and he taught the most things. e.g. The Patronus spell.

Hey, I just like Mad-eye Moody. He's a real peculiar character! I especially like the way he handled the Dursleys!
(( LOL, The first time I read that I interpreted it to mean my favorite defence I would use on the Dark Arts teacher... then I read it again... LOL ))
