Lily, who had been drawing for nearly five minutes, looked up. She noticed that Holly had now joined the group and that Brett had walked off to talk to Harry. "Hey Holly" she said cheerily, repositioning herslef in the chair. She sighed and looked down at her picture which was forming, quite rapidly, into a bird, a rather interesting one at that.
She glanced around the classroom noting people who she knew. Her eyes stopped on Rose but she made no comment because she noticed how close Tyger was to her. Turning back to the front of the room. she softly called out "Brett can I borrow your ink? and are you going to stand there talking all lesson?" she was joking "Harry you can come over here if you like" she smiled and turned back to her drawing.

"Nice drawing!" Holly commented, not looking up from her book. Her eyes were filled with determination, as they scanned each page, taking in the words, which formed the story in Holly's mind. She seemed to have her heart set on finishing the book before the end of the lesson, for she had barely looked at a page before turning over to the next.
The book she was reading had been written by muggles and was titled: Gone with the Wind. It was her favourite romance novel and although she'd read it 3 times, it never ceased to amaze her.

"Thanks" she said to Holly smiling. When Brett had answered her Lily rummaged around in his bag pulling out books and parchment and throwing it onto his chair until she found the ink. She finally found it buried down the bottom of the bag and then set herself placing everything back inside in a more orderly fashion "Your bag's messsy" she said to him when she had finished.
Uncapping the ink she began to add the finishing touches to her drawing.

"No problem." Holly replied, smiling to herself and folding the corner of a page over, she shut the book with a snap. Maybe this day wasn't so bad after all...
Holly looked over at Brett and saw that he was still trying to convince a gloomy Harry to come and join them. Brett was doomed to fail, Harry was a hopeless case, whom no-one understood...some times Holly even wondered if Ron and Hermione understood what Harry was all about.
She sighed, glancing at Lily's picture again and tilting her head to the side, "It's a horse, right?"

Alex climbed the ladder leading to the Divination classroom. It was thick with smoke and perfume which Snakicide dispised so much. Divination was a hopeless subject with no meaning but he had to continue, as Professor Trelawny would say 'Fine tuning the inner eye to all that is of importance' or something.
Snakicide took a seat at a table near the window hoping the sunlight would make him feel better about being in a room full of perfumed smoke and a woman who found comfort in telling everyone they would soon meet untimely ends.
